In a Nutshell
(to learn more about WHY we make these requests, please see "The Long Version", following this one):
Our Requests:
3) You are welcome to use our subtitle files for your own personal clips and even fanvids and music vids, if you wish. As long as you:
a. Credit us for the translations (okay, we admit it, we are proud ;-p).
b. Do not modify our translations (don't change them, add to them, or mix other people's translations into your videos along with ours). However, you are free to change our timings and/or exclude lines of dialogue to fit our SRTs to your videos.

There is a very good reason for this. Namely, we do periodically make improvements to our files – anything from a misspelled or missing word, to a line that is too long and runs off the video player screen, to even the random inspiration: wow, this would be a WAY better translation, why didn’t I think of that before!?! ;)

The reason for this last request is because we put a huge amount of effort into our translations -- discussing phrases, idioms, wordplays, and colloquialisms. Capturing the humor, irony, and ‘tone’ of the way things are said. Making the dialogue fit the characters’ facial expressions and body language. Making it sound like that of a native speaker. We even translate the meaning of song lyrics, wherever we believe they are important to the story. In other words we attempt to make the translations as perfect and also true to the original German as we possibly can. We have spent so many hours with these translations, they are like our children. We hope you love them just the way they are. ;)

How to download videos from Dailymotion:
- http://www.flashvideodownloader.org/ (website)
- http://savevideo.me (website)
- Dailymotion video downloader (special software for DM)
- Stream transport (generic RTMP streams grabber software)
- Or any of the RMTP stream grabber listed HERE.
How to download our subtitles (SRTs):
- Manual Method
Open the video you wish to view in VLC Media Player, then drag and drop the desired SRT file onto the player. VLC will play those subtitles along with the video.
- Automated Method
1. Save the video and the desired SRT in the same folder, using identical names (with the exception of the necessary file extension). So for example:
hah_073__jemma_001_lezsoapia.srt
hah_073__jemma_001_lezsoapia.mp4
2. If the files have identical names and are in the same folder, then VLC will automatically display the subtitles whenever you play the video.
